21st CENTURY SKILLS: ENHANCED TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS


In today's modern world, the classroom is also changing and evolving. We are now in this contemporary surrounding wherein everything is under control by the advancement of technology. The traditional classroom is the conventional room for every student back then, but because of the modern changes in society; traditional classrooms no longer satisfy the needs of 21st-century learners and teachers. Education is also transforming into something that makes our life more meaningful and advanced. With these changes, we should adapt and adjust to the advancement of technology. We should use different technological tools and devices to employ learning materials so that we can feed the needs of students in more spectacular methods of teaching. 

    As 21st-century teachers, we have to build and create a classroom that engages and motivates learners to study and we have to possess skills that will help us to perform a well instructional teaching process. In order to enhance the teaching and learning process, we have to make extreme improvements and adjustments when it comes to the skills and methodologies that we will employ.  Today's teachers employ a variety of pedagogical practices and educational needs. Because our educational system has been transformed by technology, the 21st-century classroom should be a successful environment in which learners may acquire the knowledge and skills that they will need in the future. To utterly apply the benefits of technology inside the classroom, students should also possess the changes and use their critical thinking in using different technological devices. With this being said, students are teachers should familiarize how technology works and how these devices supply a well-constructed teaching and learning process. 

We, teachers, should be motivated to acquire higher-order thinking skills in modern 21st-century settings. We should know how to adapt the technology so we can use it for our educational needs. Always remember that a great teacher embodies the skills that will utterly help the students to become more knowledgeable about anything that they want to learn.  

With the combination of the traditional ways of teaching and employing technology inside the classroom, we can completely achieve a great instructional process between teacher and student. As a 21st-century teacher, it is consequential to adapt and embody the learning skills, literacy skills, and life and career skills. These are the top skills that every teacher should enhance and develop. Teachers should build a new classroom that would be equipped with technology to assist learners in meeting new objectives. The classroom of the twenty-first century should be more student-centered.  

As stated above, in employing 21st-century skills; teachers serve as facilitators in order to let our students be responsible in their own way of learning. These skills will help us, teachers, how can we guide our learners to become more responsible and discover in their own way. As teachers, we should always consider that we are not just teaching academic matters, but are also shaping and molding each student to become more capable of solving real-world circumstances.  

To enhance the teaching and learning process, teachers should embody the 21st-century skills that will help us to create a place where they can feel safe and comfortable. It should be a great place to be, with a stunning environment and a creative atmosphere.
