DIVERSITY OF LEARNERS: AS THE KEY TO LEARNING SUCCESS

Every learner is unique and they have different learning styles as their coping mechanism for their academic success. Every student has their own story to tell, they have different backgrounds and learning capabilities. As a future teacher, it is my responsibility to acknowledge and promote an inclusive learning environment. I have gained a lot based on my observation and practice teaching that every student is unique, and it is my job to help them discover their potential to the maximum level.  

It is consequential to understand that every learner has their own skills and capabilities to become successful in life. The distinctiveness of every student becomes their asset in teaching and learning engagement. It is significant to convey that school is the best institution that will help them to discover their unseen potential and skills. As a future teacher, It is my desire to convey to them that teachers are not just teaching because it's their job; but we are teaching because we want to imply that every child is unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially stable.

    From these circumstances, it helps me to evaluate that every learner possesses multiple intelligences that make them stand alone inside the classroom. When students with diverse cultures and backgrounds, they may feel unsafe and unmotivated because they may think that they do not belong to the same group just because they have different perspectives. This is one of the factors that may occur inside a classroom that has a diversity of learners. As a 21st-century teacher in the making, the best way to manage and govern the diversity of learners is to encourage them that everyone is unique and everyone is accepted wholeheartedly. Regardless of racial, cultural, and gender distinctions are significant aspects of a learner's identity, and it is extremely beneficial for teachers to assist every student in better understanding differences.  

The key to learning success is to encourage every learner that everyone is unique and special in their own ways. The role of the teacher in making all students safe and motivated is to encourage them in a safe learning environment. We are teaching to engage diversity, and help every learner to recognize their differences and accept them as an asset in their learning success. Inside the classroom, we are looking forward to enlightening each student to show off what they got despite their differences, with this, we are embracing and promoting inclusive education.  Always remember that teachers should not promote favoritism, we are teaching for equality that transforms students the way think, act and socialize with other peers.

    To achieve a safe learning environment for the diversity of learners. I will always find ways to help every learner to discover things that have been unexplored. The diversity of learners proved to me that teachers should always have "Maraming baon" in terms of preparing various materials to use. With this being said, it is significant for teachers to cope with every learning style of every student. We should not just stick to the traditional way, but we should employ different learning strategies and methods to cover up the student's differences. 

    With different students with different stories, learning from your student is one of the best parts of why you want to become a teacher. I will always remember that a great teacher listens to students. We figured out that students are acting that way because something is going on in their lives. Students are not pretentious, they are showing what comes to their minds through their actions.  It's my desire to provide a safe learning space where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks. I will help them to discover their talents and abilities and start building their confidence in the teaching and learning process.

We figured out that students can be the best version of themselves as long we can allow them to explore and learn new things on their own.
